Woman with MigraineMost of you have probably had a migraine before, pressure, throbbing and pain.  Most migraines are helped with lymphatic system detoxification to help reduce inflammation. Symptoms associated with migraines, may include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light, sound, or smell. The pain is generally made worse by any physical activity.  Up to one-third of people have an aura: typically a short period of visual disturbance which signals that the headache will soon occur. Occasionally, an aura can occur with little or no headache following it.

Recent research has found that lymphatic vessels handle the majority of cerebrospinal fluid outflow from the brain. If the lymphatic vessels become blocked, cerebrospinal fluid builds in the brain and you feel pressure, creating aura’s and migraines. To help migraines it is important to improve lymph flow, to improve circulation and natural detoxification to reduce inflammation. The first step is cutting out processed foods, grains, flour, coffee, tea, sodas, and reduce consumption of red meat. Try eating more alkaline fruits and vegetables to help balance the body’s pH to improve lymph flow. Magnesium supplements have been shown to help headaches and migraines.
